Biography

Holdfast Computing was created by Guy Inchbald to develop and market a robust joypad for early learning and special needs. The product range grew to include adaptors for several popular computers of the day, and a range of other special needs input devices.

During the last months of SAMCo, Holdfast was appointed their official education distributor and exhibited the Coupé at the annual BETT national educational computing show.

The era of low-cost "Atari joystick" switch input devices came to an end with the steamroller arrival of secondhand business PCs on the educational and home markets, and Holdfast closed down.
