interlaced

is it dificult to make interlaced screens?
when using line interrupts to make a colour change is it possible to make a second change anywhere else along the same scan line?
what is the maximum number of changes that can be made along a single scan line?
if you make them at different tstates can the colour changes appear to move left or right?
could you draw attibute square style areas of colour
would other onscreen graphics apear in front of or behind line interrupt colour changes?

when interlacing screens are the first screens line interrupts odd and the second even or vice versey?
